Following exhibitions of some of the greatest British artists of the twentieth century, James Hyman Gallery are delighted to be holding the first major exhibition of Lewis Chamberlain, one of the most exciting young painters at work in London today. A former student at the Slade School of art, Lewis produces paintings and drawings of the utmost rigour. Indeed so painstaking is the process that the artist only produces a handful of paintings and drawings each year and has been known to spend as long as four years on a single drawing.
