The artist explains:
"From the late 1980s to the early 1990s, my friends and I were extremely keen on eschatology. We even had pleasure in hoping for the destruction of the Earth and the death of the mankind. The painting shows the emotion at that time. In the picture, the snake is a symbol of temptation. The death of skeleton symbolises revenge. The flashing alien image shows the mysteries from the outer space, and the candlelight implies religion, death, rescue and despair..."
